Get Involved
It joys us to know that you are interested in becoming a volunteer for The Glisteners Foundation! Volunteer contribution allows us to maximize academic support, encouragement, and knowledge to students of The Glisteners Foundation beyond traditional classrooms.

Did you know that according to the National Center for Education Statistics, math and reading scores for our nation's elementary students during the pandemic saw the largest decrease in 30 years? Add this burden to students' limited economic backgrounds, and the disparate is without a doubt.
​
Such challenges at times are unavoidable due to the different learning styles of each child and the demands and limited attention students receive in mainstream classrooms. Certain academic concepts require additional reinforcement for students to fully understand. Students coming from homes financially equipped to provide extra help may thrive, but most economically disadvantaged students become deprived of further support; that's where we come in.

For this reason, we are grateful and excited to have you join us on our journey to aid these children in becoming the best versions of themselves. The Glisteners Foundation aims to help its students reach their truest academic potential by inspiring them to dream, strive, believe and achieve.
​
As our student pool and demand rise, we will need more volunteers! Volunteer placements are received on a first come, first, serve the order and are determined on a need basis. Therefore, we only accept applicants periodically. If we do not have a position available at the time you are seeking, please check back periodically for future opportunities. Volunteering with Us

Individuals who are interested in volunteering for The Glisteners Foundation should fill and submit the GF Volunteer Application.

To provide appropriate services, we do ask that volunteers be at least a freshman in college and 18 years of age or above.

All applications should be forwarded to volunteer@theglistenersfoundation.org

Applicants will be contacted within two weeks as to whether or not their application has been approved for volunteering with The Glisteners Foundation.​

If at any time, volunteers wish to resign from the program, feel free to submit a volunteer tutor application of withdrawal. We ask that you please submit this form at least 72 hours in advance to help us make appropriate adjustments. Thank you for your cooperation.
